IFF in Rochester, NY (Plant) is seeking a Microbiology Analyst to join our Quality Control team!
This is a full-time, onsite role responsible for performing routine microbiological testing and analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished probiotic products. You will play a key role in ensuring product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance through accurate and timely testing.

Where You’ll Make a Difference
- Perform microbiological testing of raw materials, intermediates, and final products
- Release products using SAP Quality Management module based on validated results
- Troubleshoot non-conforming products and participate in contamination investigations
- Conduct facility and lab sampling per QC protocols
- Communicate test results to plant staff and management
- Support Operations and Engineering teams with responsive QC testing
- Participate in team meetings to align on scheduling and priorities
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, and Good Lab Practices
- Support shelf-life testing and QC for new product development
What Makes You the Right Fit
- Minimum Associate degree in biology, biotechnology, microbiology, or equivalent
- 1–2 years of related work experience (preferred)
- Proficiency in microbiological test methods and sample preparation
- Experience with probiotics enumeration and stability testing (preferred)
- Ability to interpret results
- Knowledge of microbial identification and plating techniques
- Familiarity with lab documentation and regulatory compliance
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation management skills

- Knowledge of packaging materials and analytical methods

Total Base Pay Range to $24-27/hour
