Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Mechanical Maintenance Team Leader to oversee a team of technicians responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of mechanical systems and equipment. This role plays a key part in minimizing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and supporting production goals through effective maintenance planning and execution.
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in mechanical systems (hydraulics, pneumatics, rotating equipment), proven leadership capabilities, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of mechanical maintenance technicians.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues to minimize production interruptions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and internal standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement as needed.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to support operational goals.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, efficiency, and safety.
- Mentor and develop team members through coaching and performance evaluations.
Qualifications
- Several years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment.
- Experience using CMMS and other maintenance tracking tools.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
