Job Description – Liquids Flavour Compounder
Summary
The primary purpose of a Flavour Compounder/Operator is to manufacture Flavour liquid products.
Scope and Working Relationships
A Flavour Compounder is responsible for flavour liquid production, in accordance with work and processing instructions. As necessary the Compounder will be required to set up manufacturing equipment and ensure safety; hygiene; good manufacturing practice; quality and housekeeping policies and procedures are followed.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manufacture Flavor liquid products, in accordance with work and processing instructions. Report any non-conformances to the Supervisor immediately. Follow careful instructions as per batch form for:-
- Raw Material weighing
- Raw Material checking
- Bulk product mixing
- Finished Goods Packing
Follow all safety; hygiene; good manufacturing practice; quality and housekeeping policies and procedures. Work safely and with recommended PPE. (personal protective equipment)
2. Set up manufacturing equipment and report problems or issues to the Supervisor immediately, Compound accurately the formulation and blend according to work instructions,
3. Load or use equipment following all safety and working instructions and Practice Good Manufacturing principles and always comply to AIB, Food Safety, HACCP, Safety and Legislative requirements, to maintain high and a consistent standard of manufacturing of finished product.
4. Complete inline checks and record for inspection purposes, observe any discrepancies and record for actioning, take product sample and submit to QC.
5. Pack product into required packaging and label, send to warehouse for locating and prepare equipment for next batch by cleaning and sanitizing equipment, ensure that all equipment is clean before manufacturing.
6. Follow all stock keeping and control policies and procedures. Report any non-conformances to the Supervisor immediately. Back-flush all ingredients used in formulation and report any discrepancies immediately
7. Follow all HACCP requirements, complete required inspections and any corrective and preventative actions which result. Complete and maintain CCP reports and records.
8. Ensure that end of shift housekeeping is up to standard.
9. Operating a forklift may be necessary and may only be performed if Compounder/Operator has a valid license.
