About the Job
The Food Supply & Distribution Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring that surplus food moves efficiently and accurately through FoodCloud’s redistribution network.
Reporting to the Supply & Demand Manager, this role focuses on managing food supply flow, supporting allocation decisions, and ensuring all redistribution outlets — including new innovation models such as community outlets, kitchens, or cafes — are integrated effectively into operational systems.
This is a hands-on coordination role requiring strong organisation, data accuracy, cross-functional communication, and a mindset for improvement and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Food Supply Coordination
Support the Supply and Demand Manager with the daily flow of food into and out of FoodCloud’s hubs, ensuring offers are processed efficiently and stock is accurately recorded
Coordinate allocation of food to the appropriate redistribution channels (warehouses, community partners, innovation outlets)
Monitor stock availability, rotation, and shelf-life to maximise redistribution and minimise waste, reporting this on regular team updates
Ensure inbound and outbound food data is recorded accurately in FoodCloud’s systems
Food Flow and Distribution Oversight
Support the Supply & Demand Manager in ensuring that food is directed to the right outlet at the right time, in line with FoodCloud’s operational strategy
Work closely with the warehouse, transport, and operations teams to maintain visibility of product flow and troubleshoot any bottlenecks
Track redistribution performance and outlet utilisation to ensure innovation projects are contributing to FoodCloud’s overall impact targets, reporting this on weekly team calls
Data and Reporting
Collect, analyse, and report on food movement data to identify trends, inefficiencies, or improvement opportunities
Work with colleagues to best utilise FoodCloud technology, optimise our redistribution model and maximise AI and related supports streamline the flow of food
Maintain dashboards or reports that track volume movement, waste reduction, and outlet performance
Use insights to support decision-making for the Supply & Demand Manager and the wider Operations Team
Process and Systems Improvement
Contribute to continuous improvement of supply chain processes, documentation, and communication between teams
Provide feedback on system performance working with the Head of Operations to support innovation and development projects
Participate in pilot projects or trials related to new redistribution models or technology solutions
Operational Support
Provide periodic support to warehouse operations to maintain first-hand understanding of the food flow process
Ensure compliance with food safety standards and operational best practice
Skills & Experience
Preferable and or relevant education course or degree in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse coordination — ideally within food, FMCG, or social enterprise sectors
Strong data and systems literacy: confident using tools like Excel, Google Sheets, WMS, or CRM systems
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, able to manage multiple streams of work simultaneously
Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams
Experience in process improvement, system implementation, or data-led decision making is an advantage
A proactive, adaptable attitude — thrives in an environment of innovation and change
