Work Shift: Grave Pay Type: Hourly Hourly Rate (if applicable): $25.75 Targeted Base Salary Range (if applicable): N/A JOB OVERVIEW: The Turlock Plant is seeking experienced Sanitation Technician for grave shift to join our winning team. RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities: Identifies areas with high insect activity. Locates the nesting areas contributing to high activity levels. Cleans and treats areas that have been identified as nesting areas. Monitors Pheromone traps weekly and replaces traps and lures at the recommended frequency to insure their effectiveness. Assists with fogging and crack and crevice application. Monitors and maintains sufficient on hand inventory for all pest control chemicals. Monitors and maintains the Ecolab chemical area and supplies. Maintains sanitation storage rooms. Cleans and sanitizes food processing equipment, floors, walls and related facilities. Removes components of equipment for cleaning and re-assembles. Operates sweepers, scrubbers, pressure washers and other janitorial type equipment. Mix and use chemicals related to cleaning and sanitizing equipment and to wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Employees in this category may often be responsible to operate, conduct routine service and maintenance, and assemble and dis-assemble machines and/or production equipment, i.e. sweepers, scrubbers, power mowers. Employees may be required to clean and sanitize food-processing equipment and apply pesticides and maintain cleanliness throughout the facility. Required Minimum Qualifications: Position requires a minimum of 6 months previous work experience in a sanitation or janitorial position. Must have excellent communication skills and be able to work under limited supervision. Basic computer skill is desired. Work consists of routine tasks requiring identification of problems and everyday decision-making. Must be able to read and interpret company policies and instructions. Must meet output standards and meet schedules and deadlines as assigned. Must be knowledgeable and recognize crisis management alarms (fire, intrusion, machinery malfunction) and follow-up actions. Proceeds with duties by following several standardized procedures and may refer to supervisor if problems arise. Work is spot-checked. Errors may cause delays of minor loss of resources. Ascend and descend multiple level equipment and work from elevated locations. Ability to climb ladders and cross high catwalks. Be able to walk plant areas. Overtime as necessary is a requirement to the performance of this position. Additional Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in food processing and lean manufacturing is highly desired. Educational Requirements: Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
