Reporting to the Head of Consumer Products, North America, as Senior Account Executive who will work with a global team and be responsible for a specific Customer Account. You will develop customer relationships, generating growth while performing against all customer Indicators. You will develop the implementation of the category strategy to defend the existing business and achieve business growth in close collaboration with the customer, the global commercial team, and the development team. You will manage more junior team members.
You will be On-Site (when not traveling) in East Hanover, NJ to be close to our technical teams. We offer 1 day from home.
- Strategy Management: Assume a lead role for all Givaudan activities for an international account by managing top and bottom lines. Build the account strategy for your responsibilities in collaboration with main global partners and the client. The strategy should build and deliver growth, focusing on promoting our existing business and pursuing new opportunities. The ultimate objective is to be the partner of choice. Develop new business by identifying and creating opportunities for us to participate in targeted customer briefs, expressing our value proposition, promoting new fragrances, concepts, technologies, and products. Also will apply a global portfolio to create new opportunities in all regions. Develop a comprehensive understanding of the industry and sales landscape by segment, category, or specific geographical area, including the competitive environment.
- Influence and Partner: Partner with the business to support plans aimed at using portfolio in all geographies for new opportunities, encouraging strategic understanding and trust to strengthen long-term relationships. Lead the relationship, acting in the best interest of the partnership by demonstrating in-depth knowledge of needs. Ensure our state of readiness for new business opportunities and defense of existing business. Develop thoughtful understanding of customer potential through analysis of brand strategies, positioning, strengths and weaknesses, and competition. Experience communicating product benefits appropriate for each prospect the benefits we offer, not just capabilities. Build insightful and sustainable customer relationship and trust with customer and partners with the ultimate goal of providing a positive customer experience.
- Engage Opportunity: Identify value drivers for customer and position our products and technology. Develop comprehensive Account/Category Plans, incorporating comprehensive customer knowledge/analysis. Apply strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting skills to develop Account Plans using knowledge of Givaudan pricing guidelines for accounts and regions. Have a mindset with a focus on innovation (immediate and longer term results) to find new wins with this account. Manage brief process; use 'cost to serve' criteria to improve profitability and allocate proper resources to find solutions. Understand operations and logistics as they impact commercial results.
- Business Partnering: Cultivate strategic partnerships and deepen client relationships to guide important decisions and strengthen long-term collaboration. Champion agreement by partnering with Customer Care, Planning, and Procurement to provide exceptional service performance and secure business continuity. Collaborate across regions to guide integrated strategies, while enhancing credibility through an understanding of our development model and meaningful contribution to organizational priorities.
You?
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years experience
- 6+ years of sales/technical experience in the fragrance industry.
- Experience managing/developing a team.
- We will consider knowledge of the industry and the customer regulatory requirements, including technical criteria and specifications as an advantage.
- Creativity and ability to create opportunities based on consumer insights and market trends.
- Problem Solving with an business owner spirit.
- Competent olfactive knowledge with experience working with fragrances or fragranced consumer products.
