The role is based in Castelo Branco, Brazil (hybrid role) and sits within the H&B Global Regulatory Affairs (GRA) organization, supporting chemical substance registration activities across LATAM. Where You’ll Make a Difference
Accountable for implementing and executing the chemical control compliance program of IFF/H&B in the LATAM region for the technical portfolio of products (Biofuels, Fabric & Homecare, Personal Care, Industrial Markets, etc).
Monitor regulatory and legislative developments across the LATAM region and assess their impact on Health & Biosciences product lines.
Coordinate and execute chemical substance registration and notification programs in collaboration with cross functional partners.
Represent IFF in industry working groups to ensure our regulatory interests and viewpoints are reflected.
Lead project management activities for ongoing regulatory submissions across LATAM.
Compile, update and maintain regulatory documentation, records and databases.
Execute compliance activities related to chemical inventories (e.g., substance volume tracking, Only Representative coverage).
Provide guidance and support to internal teams and external customers on chemical control compliance requirements.
Partner with stakeholders across H&B Global Regulatory Affairs to ensure end-to-end compliance throughout the value chain.
What Makes You the Right Fit
MSc degree or higher in Biotechnology, Biology, Toxicology, Environmental Science, Chemistry or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
7+ years of Regulatory Affairs experience within the Biotechnology or Chemical industry.
Hands on experience with chemical control regulations in LATAM (e.g., Brazil, Chile, Colombia).
Experience collaborating with industry associations or regulatory working groups.
Proven ability to work effectively with diverse and global teams.
Strong IT skills and comfort working with new digital tools and systems.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong project management capabilities.
Fluent in English (verbal and written). Spanish proficiency is preferred.
