The position acts as a finance partner to operations of US and AT(Austria) Site, driving disciplined cost control and inventory management.
This role focuses on plant-level cost and inventory controlling, with primary responsibility for monthly cost performance management. Key activities include OCOGS analysis covering work order variances, purchase price variance (PPV), scrap, production hours, and absorption, as well as providing clear cost insights to support plant and finance management reviews.
The position owns plant PPV analysis and reporting, including monthly reconciliation and support for regional and global PPV reporting. The role ensures accurate tracking of purchasing-driven cost impacts and works closely with supply chain and procurement teams to improve cost transparency.
The role supports annual standard cost (STC) updates and ongoing cost governance. Responsibilities include reviewing BOMs, routing, labor and overhead assumptions, validating purchase prices, performing cost build-ups and change analysis, and preparing documentation to support management approval of standard costs.
The position is responsible for cost and inventory-related month-end close activities, including inventory, PPV, scrap, accruals, and capital variance journal entries. The role ensures accurate inventory accounting, timely balance sheet reconciliations, and compliance with accounting policies and internal control requirements.
Inventory management is a core focus of the role. Key responsibilities include inventory forecasting, excess and obsolete (E&O) analysis, inventory aging, slow-moving and negative inventory analysis. The role partners with operations and supply chain teams to improve inventory efficiency, reduce risk, and support working capital improvement.
