Aubrey Farms in south Overland Park, KS, is seeking a farm employee with energy and enthusiasm! While previous agricultural experience would be great, we will provide training in sustainable farming practices, ecological land stewardship, and other skills required to run a farm. Duties
· Assist with daily farm operations, including weekends, helping with animal care, crop cultivation, and grounds maintenance
· Help manage animal husbandry practices, ensuring proper feeding, health monitoring, and humane treatment of livestock
· Plant, weed, and harvest crops in all weather conditions
· Help with irrigation and other on-farm systems
· Safely operate and help maintain farm machinery and equipment
· Assist with all other farm activities
Skills
· Ability to stand, bend, kneel, or stoop for long periods of time
· Ability to safely and repeatedly lift 50 lbs. or more
· Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
· Helpful to have agricultural or horticultural experience, like landscaping
· Knowledge of maintenance routines for farm infrastructure including mowing, trimming, fixing fences, facility care, irrigation systems, and more
· Mechanical knowledge and basic math skills for troubleshooting and repairing farm machinery are a huge plus
· Proficiency in safely operating heavy equipment would be great
· An ideal candidate would have hands-on experience with sustainable farming practices such as irrigation systems management, greenhouse and field cultivation, horticulture techniques, and familiarity with animal handling procedures
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
