Overview:

Greenhouse is seeking a Finance Manager to ensure the financial health of the company through accurate financial reporting, effective budgeting, and robust cash flow management. In this role, you will provide critical support to the Director of Finance and the senior management team by delivering timely financial insights that inform business decisions, while overseeing essential finance functions including working capital management, year-end reporting, and team leadership.
Statement of Work & Responsibilities:
General Financial Management
Support the production of monthly and annual financial reports with detailed analysis on performance against budget, actuals, and forecast. Reports should provide insights into income statements, balance sheets, and cash flows, enabling informed decision-making by senior management.
Work closely with department heads to gather and interpret financial data, providing real-time updates that can impact business strategy.
Ensure all reports are compliant with GAAP standards, maintaining transparency and accuracy in financial records.
Financial Operations
Oversee the day-to-day operations of Accounts Payable and Receivable, ensuring timely invoicing, payment processing, and collections to optimize cash flow.
Collaborate with the operations and supply chain teams to monitor inventory levels and adjust as necessary to avoid excess stock or stockouts, thus reducing working capital requirements.
Execute and support regular inventory accounts to maintain accuracy of these balances in the accounting systems.
Regularly review and manage AR aging reports to minimize overdue accounts and enhance collection processes.
Oversee the timely processing of all company payments, including vendor payments and loan repayments, ensuring that proper controls are in place.
Year-End Reporting & Audit
Support the year-end close process, ensuring that all reconciliations are completed accurately and on time. This includes reviewing general ledger accounts, adjusting journal entries, and resolving any discrepancies.
Act as a liaison with external auditors, ensuring all audit requirements are met, and supporting a smooth audit process with minimal disruptions.
Ensure all tax filings (e.g., VAT, corporate taxes) are submitted accurately and in compliance with regulatory deadlines.
Provide financial information for board materials, ensuring that the leadership team has a comprehensive understanding of the company’s year-end financial position.
Capital Expenditure (CapEx) & Asset Management
Track and manage CapEx projects, ensuring that all spending aligns with approved budgets and contributes to the company’s growth strategy.
Maintain accurate records of fixed assets, ensuring proper classification, depreciation schedules, and disposal of obsolete assets.
Periodically review CapEx spending versus budget, addressing any variances and suggesting corrective actions where necessary.
Budgeting & Forecasting
Support the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads and the finance team to develop realistic financial targets.
Support the update forecasts on a quarterly basis, incorporating actual performance data, market trends, and new business developments. Provide clear recommendations based on forecast revisions.
Team Leadership & Development
Manage junior finance team members, ensuring they are trained, supported, and held accountable for their deliverables. Provide regular feedback and encourage professional growth through mentoring and development opportunities.
Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring that team members can operate autonomously while maintaining high standards of performance.
Act as the key financial contact for other departments, fostering a collaborative relationship where financial information is clearly communicated and understood by non-financial personnel.
Financial Systems & Process Improvement
Continuously evaluate the company’s financial systems and processes, identifying areas for automation and improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce manual errors.
Implement strong internal controls to safeguard the accuracy and integrity of financial data, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and mitigating risks.
Stay current on emerging financial tools and technologies that can further optimize financial reporting and operational efficiency.
EDI Implementation & Management
Oversee ongoing Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) operations, including vendor onboarding, transaction set configuration, and exception resolution, ensuring accurate and timely exchange of financial documents.
Establish and maintain EDI controls and reconciliation processes to safeguard data integrity and ensure compliance with trading partner requirements.
Monitor EDI performance metrics and identify opportunities to expand EDI coverage, reduce manual touchpoints, and improve processing efficiency across AP and AR workflows.
AI & Automation in Finance
Adoption of AI tools and automation within the finance function, identifying use cases that enhance the accuracy and speed of financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting.
Evaluate, pilot, and implement AI-driven solutions for tasks and dashboard reporting such as monitoring inventory levels, production efficiency, variances to budget, etc.
Stay current on emerging AI and automation capabilities relevant to finance and accounting, bringing forward recommendations that support Greenhouse’s growth and operational efficiency goals.

Required Qualifications: CPA designation
Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in audit or accounting roles, with experience managing a team.
