About the job
We're looking for an outgoing, authentic Customer Account Manager with a genuine passion for produce to build new connections across the New York City food scene. An understanding of NYC’s food system and underlying operations and decision making processes of restaurants is a big plus.
Responsibilities
Build deep product knowledge across produce, sourcing, and availability
Maintain and grow relationships across an existing customer portfolio
Drive weekly sales growth through chef meetings, tastings, and menu placements
Communicate seasonal shifts and recommend product changes proactively
Manage customer expectations and resolve issues quickly and professionally
Own the full customer experience—from order patterns to problem resolution
About You
A natural ability to relate to Chefs and other food industry professionals coupled with an ongoing curiosity of the restaurant industry.
Motivated by driving sales, extending our reach and delivering on aggressive sales targets.
Demonstrate commercial acumen. Provide insights that inform and improve sales strategies to achieve aggressive growth targets.
Have second to none relationship building skills and excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to different styles and situations.
Be a problem solver and take initiative.
Strong IT skills, with Excel and G-Suite experience a bonus.
Hospitality or culinary experience is a bonus.
