We are a high-caliber team building the sensing and AI infrastructure for autonomous biomanufacturing: real-time electrochemical biosensors, closed-loop AI process control, and our bioreactor platform. We work alongside major technology partners in the sensing, computing, and industrial automation space. This is not a large-company role. We hire people who personally do the work at the highest level.
Key Responsibilities
Design, deploy, configure, and maintain server, storage, network, and computing infrastructure.
Manage physical and virtualized environments, including virtual machines, operating systems, and system configurations.
Build, maintain, and optimize database systems and data storage solutions.
Develop and maintain data architectures capable of handling large volumes of operational and sensor data.
Manage Linux and Windows server environments.
Configure and troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and system integration issues.
Support integration between industrial equipment, sensors, software platforms, and enterprise IT systems.
Develop automation scripts and tools to improve system reliability and operational efficiency.
Implement monitoring, logging, backup, and recovery solutions.
Ensure system security, data integrity, availability, and performance.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues across hardware, operating systems, applications, databases, and infrastructure.
Support deployment and maintenance of customer-facing systems across multiple environments.
Collaborate with software, AI/ML, and engineering teams to ensure reliable data availability and system performance.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
7+ years of hands-on experience managing and supporting complex IT infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of server hardware, operating systems, networking, and system administration.
Experience managing virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox, or similar).
Strong database experience, including database design, administration, optimization, and troubleshooting.
Experience working with large datasets and data management architectures.
Strong understanding of networking concepts, security, and system connectivity.
Proficiency with Linux administration and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar).
Experience with cloud platforms and hybrid infrastructure environments.
Ability to diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software problems independently.
Strong understanding of system architecture and how hardware, software, databases, and networks work together.
Nice to Have
Experience with industrial systems, automation, IoT, or manufacturing environments.
Experience with edge computing and distributed systems.
Experience supporting AI/ML infrastructure or high-volume data processing systems.
Experience with regulated industries such as biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or advanced manufacturing.
Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and data compliance requirements.
