About the role
The Regional Transportation Manager is responsible for the safety, leadership, full P&L ownership, and operational improvement of their facilities within Divert's transportation network. This role ensures alignment between transportation operations, company objectives, and customer expectations, driving performance through data-driven decision-making, development and leadership of team members (Supervisors and Drivers), and implementation of best-in-class transportation practices. This position reports directly to the Director of Logistics. This is a remote, West Coast-based role; candidates should be located near a major airport, with travel of approximately 50% expected.
Responsibilities
Oversee, coach, and develop Transportation Supervisors in achieving safety, service, and performance targets.
Establish and manage key performance indicators to monitor network efficiency, cost, and service quality.
Drive standardization and consistency in transportation operational processes, metrics, and reporting.
Champion a proactive safety culture across all transportation operations, including robust training plans.
Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and other relevant regulatory standards through regular audits and policy reviews.
Manage and drive regional transportation P&L, including budgets, variance analysis, and cost reduction opportunities.
Identify and implement process, technology, and network improvements that optimize transportation cost, asset utilization, and service performance.
Oversee the effective use of Transportation Management Systems and other logistics technology tools.
Qualifications and skills
H.S. diploma/GED required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred.
2+ years of P&L responsibility required.
5+ years of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse, or an industry-related field.
5+ years managing, leading, and developing direct reports.
Hands-on software experience with transportation management systems (WMS, WMOS, TMS, and/or OMS); ERP systems and routing software preferred.
Strong data analytics and financial analysis skills, with experience optimizing transportation performance.
Ability to work independently and manage projects with minimal supervision in a remote/hybrid environment.
Benefits
