About the Role:
As a Lead Solutions Engineer at Afresh, you will work directly with grocery retail partners and Afresh colleagues to deploy Afresh's purpose-built fresh food solution and bring lasting impact to partners. You will build effective partnerships with customers to drive the success of end-to-end integrations, applying a skillset at the intersection of data architecture, operations, and predictive analytics to translate customers' business needs into technical design.
Responsibilities:
- Own and execute integration projects from customer discovery through go-live, creating detailed project plans with milestones, risk mitigation, and success criteria
- - Lead technical discovery and design engagements with customers, including multi-day on-sites scoping 10-15 data interfaces and negotiating delivery timelines and formats
- - Apply deep knowledge of Afresh's core data model and integration patterns to evaluate whether customer needs can be met through standard approaches
- - Analyze complex data relationships, identify root causes of mismatches or anomalies, and build custom queries or lightweight tools to streamline validation
- - Collaborate with data engineering, product engineering, and data science to drive integration delivery
- - Influence internal discussions with input from customer needs; share learnings across Product, Sales, and Customer Success
- - Contribute to team documentation, templates, and onboarding content; mentor junior team members
Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to independently own and execute complex integration projects end-to-end
- - Experience leading technical discovery and solution design with customer IT stakeholders
- - Data transformation and design experience, working alongside data engineers, data scientists, and subject matter experts
- - Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate clearly across technical and non-technical audiences
- - Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and other analytical tools
- - Open to travel (up to 10%)
- - Nice to have: experience with AI/ML systems, commercial mindset, dedication to quality and operational excellence
Salary Range: $134,000 - $181,000 + meaningful early stage equity & benefits
