Afresh, the AI platform for grocery, began by tackling the most complex problem in the industry: fresh, and has evolved into the core AI platform for grocers. Afresh partners with retailers like Albertsons, Meijer, and Wakefern, and has prevented over 200 million pounds of food waste.
About the Role:
As the Product Designer for the Ordering team, you'll own the end-to-end experience for a web application used by corporate users who own the grocery replenishment function across tens of thousands of departments nationwide. You'll turn complex AI-driven forecasts into decisions these operators can act on with confidence, working closely with product management, machine learning engineers, and mobile and full-stack engineers.
Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end design for a web application for corporate users who own the grocery replenishment function, spanning ordering, exceptions, configuration, and performance
- - Design reporting, insights, and performance dashboards, from table stakes today toward conversational, AI-powered analytics
- - Design exception-based workflows and controls that let corporate users manage operations without technical depth
- - Shape agentic and conversational experiences that surface AI-powered insights to less-technical customers
- - Own shared portal services UX (admin, permissions, authorization, multi-role)
- - Build reusable components and keep UX consistent across portal surfaces
- - Ship quickly with the Ordering product and engineering teams using modern AI-assisted tools
Requirements:
- Senior-level product design experience shipping customer-facing software with measurable outcomes
- - Deep enterprise SaaS experience, navigating complex systems and multiple tiers of users
- - Product-minded with engineering overlap, comfortable building directly in code rather than handing off static mockups
- - Strong systems thinking: reusable patterns and coherent navigation across products and surfaces
- - Comfort with modern, AI-assisted tooling for exploration, prototyping, and synthesis
- - Excellent communication and collaboration across product, engineering, and design
