Consultant Non-food — Quality & Product Safety

You will help our customers bring safe and sustainable consumer products to market.
A hair dryer, cutting board, Christmas lights, toy train and shower gel—how safe are these products really? At Précon, we advise customers on product safety and compliance with European laws and regulations. Our practical advice helps customers bring safe products to market and supports a safe, healthy and sustainable world.
Product safety is increasingly important. Examples include fatbikes without type approval, chargers that explode, toys with choking hazards and products containing banned chemicals. Précon provides training in the field and helps you develop as a consultant.
What you’ll do
• Prepare and review product safety dossiers documenting compliance with EU laws and regulations.
• Coordinate product testing at external international laboratories for customers.
• Review packaging artwork and instructions for use.
• Work with colleagues to identify legal requirements for non-food products and develop testing protocols.
• Interpret legislation and market requirements and turn them into practical advice.
• Analyze product complaints and advise customers on appropriate action.
• Provide training if you wish; Précon provides internal training.
