IFF is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team at the IFF Carrollton site.
This IFF location manufactures flavor ingredients that can be found in consumer products that people across the U.S. and around the world use every day.
In this role you will be part of the maintenance team and contribute to the output from maintenance team, overview of maintenance spares inventory, uptime of production assets and upkeep of facilities and doing so with highest regard for Occupational and Food safety requirements. The Maintenance manager will also be instrumental in strategizing plant upgrades, process improvements and delivering on Capex projects to maximise output and capacity release, and Maintenance Technicians are responsible to execute the strategy
This position reports to the Maintenance Manager and will be required to work shifts and overtime to effect Planned maintenance and support project work.
Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Responsibility to complete Works orders and Planned work orders quickly and efficiently on shift, and support manufacturing to maintain uptime and efficiency
- Rtesponsibility to respond to ad hoc requests for support on shift
- Effect all adhoc maintenance on shift timeously and effectively to minimize downtime
- Ensure the highest level of quality finish on all maintenance work performed. Responsible for adhering to GMP standards in all maintenance and contractor work in the plant
- Responsible for the timely completion of PM programmes, annual compliance inspections, and all adhoc and breakdown maintenance work as assigned
- Accurately maintaining Wo data in the tracking system
- Support the proper spare part inventory levels, by recording what is used accuirately
- Ensure that all tasks are completed in a safe manner, working closely with the EHS and Food safety teams to grow the safety cultures. Responsibility includes the enforcement of safety rules and procedures of the plant and demonstrate safety awareness at all times
- Support and participate in activities that promote employee ownership and engagement in E,H&S, including leading Process safety initiatives
- Gather data and maintain systems to track maintenance output, uptime, and any other measures required to support improvement and capacity release
- Provide training and support as needed to develop maintenance team colleagues and operators as is necessary and/or relevant.
- Help support Carrollton’s response teams, in drills and actual incidents
- Support all continuous improvement initiatives in operations
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
