Build meaningful relationships and networks across IFF at regional and global level
Expand network with other functional teams, including at global level within IFF, (Creative, Marketing, Sales) to feed knowledge within the scope of the role
Promote IFF capabilities and be the contact point for key customers on CI-related topics
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to work on joint initiatives and share knowledge and insights
Collect annual business needs (Sales) for market research and share with direct manager for review and prioritization
Drive and rally cross-functional teams to a common goal by building compelling argumentation and conveying clear ideas and structured conclusions
Drive process efficiencies by partnering with other functions (SDM, Labs, external CI agencies...)
Monitoring of new methods and media to feed innovation in consumer approaches*
Contribute to promote IFF expertise, externally and internally, on consumer centric capabilities*
Promote IFF capabilities in public forums, conferences, seminars…*
Customize research designs or create new designs to address the knowledge gaps and meet research objectives
Initiate proactive CI initiatives to deliver insights that help design superior fragrance solutions
Design value-added analysis plan to respond special business requests
Create projects in global Project Management database (PUMA) where applicable
Allocate resources, plan and monitor to ensure high quality deliverables
Plan and define work priorities, provide clear directions to team
Organize teamwork to encourage cooperation and bring together complementary skills and expertise
Escalate team workload issues to direct manager
Lead the translation of data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations. Prepare and deliver compelling presentations for internal & external stakeholders
Lead collection of information, synthesis of data and disseminate insights in the form of structured communication within own scope
Translate information from various sources into insightful stories that help in developing strategies
Present insights and strategic recommendations to key customers and Senior management in an effective and structured fashion
Tools
Complete advanced training on HCI Database and in-house statistical software (SARA)
Review and approve access to internal tools needed by the team, while ensuring adequate users’ privileges are granted. Approve team requests for external tools
Consumer Expertise
Keep abreast of the latest developments related to evolving consumers' patterns in the relevant markets through formal and informal communication means
Contribute to internal events (workshops) focusing on consumers' knowledge in specific markets by sharing relevant expertise
Attend external events (conferences, congresses, webinars)
Leverage background research data (incl. from scientific sources) to meet strategic business needs
Report findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders
Product Knowledge (where applicable)
Keep abreast of markets shifts' evolution on top-seller products in the relevant sub-categories and markets through formal and informal communication means

Assess agency cost to ensure cost efficiency
Drive best performance out of vendors while keeping outsourced activities within budget and on time
Manage procurement processes within scope (agreement negotiation)
Plan, recommend and manage CI category budget ensuring maximization of investments
Manage relationships with vendors and external experts through assessment and review of deliverables with teams
Justify and escalate extra budget needs to Senior management for approval.
Ensure “SMART” Individual Development Plan (IDP) are completed and that managers are equipped to deliver development discussions
Encourage direct reports to take on new responsibilities/stretch assignments for professional development
Address organizational concerns within team by proposing solutions to optimize effectiveness
Onboard and coach new joiners, junior members and larger HCI community as needed
Identify people with complementary skills and promote teamwork to boost shared learning
Performance management, workforce planning, talent review to build a high performing culture
Recognize individual contributions and team accomplishments

Requirements
Degree in Marketing, Human Sciences, Engineering and/or Psychology. Level depending on the country. Preferably 8 years of industry experience in relevant areas with at least 2 years serving in a manager role with a strong track record Fluent English required Any other relevant language is a plus / To be adapted depending on the country.
