Purpose
Plan, organize, and oversee the execution of quality programs for a specific activity or group of activities and provide assistance for the daily Quality operation and activities within a manufacturing site.
Core Responsibilities
Participate in the design of tactical and operational plans and execute these for the assigned area(s) of activity in order to meet Quality objectives.
Supervise the local Quality team in executing defined Quality programs for the assigned area(s) of activity, such as:
Lead sensory evaluations and troubleshooting of products and ingredients
Escalate issues to top management and communicate rejections and information updates to key contacts in Quality, Operations, Purchasing, and Customer Care as needed.
You will report to your Manager and stakeholders.
Perform instrument, equipment, and quality deviations troubleshooting in laboratory.
Work with the local Operations management team and HR Business Partner(s) in developing a talent pipeline for the local QM/QC organization.
Drive the development and promotion of local QM/QC talents within Operations.
Maintain a hygienic and safe work environment.
Identify opportunities for improvement in QM/QC and set proactive measures to prevent issues.
Execute the program(s) within the approved budget.
Academic Background
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
MSC is preferred.
Professional Experience
Overall work experience of 2 to 4 years.
Up to 1 year of people management experience.
Technical Skills
Proficient in systems, procedures, and techniques for laboratory operations (e.g. weighing balance, Densitometer, Refractometer, Moisture balances, Karl Fischer titrator, Sieve testing equipment, GC).
Proficient in production methods and Quality Management systems and procedures in manufacturing facilities.
Broad-based knowledge of product technologies and applications.
Broad-based knowledge of ingredients and product safety principles, global standards, as well as regulations.
Knowledge of ingredients and product labelling regulations.
Knowledge of sensory principles and understanding of the data analysis of sensory results.
