Our ingredient portfolio includes enzymes, biopolymers, and other bioactives for application in detergents, personal care products, textile processing and various industrial cleaning processes.
Our Leiden site is a dynamic and globally diverse hub, comprising 180 colleagues representing 29 nationalities. Our colleagues work across R&D, Application, and Commercial functions for our Health & Bioscience business, along with corporate staff.
We are currently looking for a Senior Application Technologist Home & Fabric Care to join our team at IFF Leiden, Netherlands in an onsite capacity. In this role you will be reporting to the Regional Application Lead for EAME.
Where You’ll Make a Difference
Provide impactful technical support, helping shape the development and application of innovative products, processing techniques, and solutions to technical problems.
Take full ownership in designing, executing, and interpreting a wide range of lab experiments, such as hands-on biochemical analyses of enzymatic detergent formulations, stability tests, and evaluation of product performance in e.g. washing machines and dishwashers.
Autonomously adapts new methodology to current application projects or technical service requests and troubleshoots customer technical issues.
What Makes You the Right Fit
Academic degree MSc or BSc with 3 years’ work experience in the detergent, chemical, or (food) ingredient industry, preferably in an R&D or technical support role.
Familiar with good laboratory practices along with track record of designing and conducting laboratory or pilot plant studies with minimal supervision.
Good interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships.
Proactive, and self-starting personality.
Strong communication skills. Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
Team-player who enjoys working in an international environment.
