Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble food items quickly and accurately following established recipes and safety standards
- Operate POS systems such as toast to process customer transactions efficiently
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders, and addressing inquiries with a positive attitude
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change
- Support food handling procedures, including proper storage, food safety practices, and sanitation in the kitchen area
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or quick service restaurants is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems such as toast
- Experience in customer service roles within the food industry or retail environments is beneficial
- Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and retail math are necessary
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and kitchen operations enhances your effectiveness in this role
- Prior restaurant or café experience helps in understanding fast-paced food service dynamics
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods while maintaining high-quality service
