Nūmi is a bioproduction platform harnessing human mammary cells to produce key ingredients with proven health benefits across all stages of life. More specifically, it is the first European cultivated breast milk company aiming to produce human milk constituents to better match the ideal nutrition for babies! What we are looking for
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Intern in molecular biology and analytics to join our innovative team. This intern will play a vital role in analysing milk constituents. You will gain hands-on experience in a cutting-edge start-up lab environment while contributing to our mission to improve infant and specialised nutrition.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform HPLC analyses and enzymatic assays for sugar quantification, including method development and optimisation
- Conduct detection and analysis of secreted proteins using ELISA and Western blot techniques
- Analyse cellular secretion profiles by RT-qPCR and support the media development team in data interpretation and decision-making
- Document experimental procedures and present results to the team
- Contribute to general laboratory and operational activities as needed
As a junior member in a small startup your responsibilities will also span lab management, lab duties and helping other team members and more specifically our lab manager Julie in day to day operations!
Requirements
- Pursuing an Engineering Degree in biological sciences, bioprocessing, chemical engineering, biotechnology, or a related field
- Prior experience in HPLC is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory techniques such as ELISA, RT-qPCR, enzymatic assays is advantageous
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret experimental data effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while being proactive and self-motivated

- First technical fit interview with someone in the team
- Second technical case discussion with the Media Development department
- Last fit interview with our CTO Eugénie or CEO Eden (on-site if possible), and meet part of the team, visit the labs & office
