Scent – Quality | Creative Center:
The Quality Technologist I executes quality control and quality assurance activities within operational processes, ensuring fragrance products meet internal standards and customer requirements. This role focuses on inspection, analytical testing, documentation of results, identification of deviations, and support in the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
This position is based on‑site in Bogotá, Colombia, supporting the Creative Center and local distribution operations.
Where You’ll Make a Difference
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Quality Control and Quality Assurance topics for the Fragrance division at the Creative Center and Distribution Center in Colombia.
Quality Control Activities:
- Prepare samples and perform gas chromatography and physicochemical analyses including density, refractive index, color, and flash point of fragrances produced by the Fragrance Sample Lab, in accordance with established protocols.
- Organize triangular sensory tests for the sensory release of fragrances produced by the Sample Lab.
- Generate manual Certificates of Analysis (CoA) for approved batches to be shipped to customers.
- Request the creation of specifications required for PDS and SDS generation for customers.
- Communicate daily analytical results to the Fragrance division.
- Manage the shipment of samples for re‑evaluation, including receipt, repackaging, relabeling, and shipment to manufacturing plants.
- Ensure follow‑up and traceability of shipment guides for re‑evaluation results.
- Receive and control samples submitted for stability studies, including L*a*b* color readings.
- Prepare samples for stability testing according to established protocols.
- Monitor stability studies and issue final stability reports.
- Manage storage and inventory of retention samples received from the Fragrance Sample Lab.
- Monitor and update standard sample stock used for sensory release.
- Verify laboratory equipment using certified reference standards, including autosamplers, densimeter‑refractometer, and mini flash point equipment.
- Analyze raw materials for local use within the Creative Center.
- Support material release in SAP for local dispatch.
- Ensure proper disposal of laboratory waste from the quality laboratory.
Quality Assurance Activities:
- Manage laboratory procedure documentation.
- Ensure planning and execution of periodic maintenance of Quality Control laboratory equipment in accordance with established procedures.
- Support and assist in the preparation of materials required for internal training sessions.
- Provide support in addressing, analyzing, and resolving internal quality inquiries and requirements.
- Support local customer complaints.
- Attend external customer audits and respond to local inquiries and requirements.
- Ensure compliance with policies and processes for the distribution center, maintaining adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Storage Practices, and supply chain standards.
- Support review and verification of customer specification compliance per established agreements.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintain up‑to‑date records of re‑evaluation shipments and claims.
- Manage quotations and requisitions for the purchase of quality laboratory consumables.
What Makes You the Right Fit
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or related fields.
- 1–2 years of experience in laboratory activities and/or sensory analysis within the fragrance, flavor, or pharmaceutical industry.

- Teamwork orientation and planning skills.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and/or Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Basic knowledge of sensory analysis.
- Basic knowledge of instrumental analytical techniques, specifically gas chromatography.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards.
- Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office and task management tools.
- Intermediate English, with reading comprehension capability.

- Full‑time schedule: Monday to Friday, standard business hours (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.), with flexibility based on business needs.
- The role involves chemical exposure risk, requiring strict adherence to SDS review and mandatory use of appropriate PPE.
