Product Development coordinator
Dublin Based (Hybrid Working)
WHAT DO WE NEED?
We’re looking for a Product Development Coordinator to help turn great ideas into standout products. With a passion for food and innovation, you’ll support end-to-end NPD delivery across markets—keeping projects on track and helping ideas grow from concept to launch.
You’ll get stuck in from bench to factory floor, working cross-functionally to deliver high-quality, consumer-first products. If you’re ready to TURNIP your potential and help us SPROUT new ideas, you’ll fit right in. 🌱
WHO ARE WE?
Even though we’re only 10 years old, Strong Roots has already achieved impressive success. We’re stocked in nearly all the major retailers across Ireland and the UK, are loved by our loyal consumers, and have gained valuable listings across the US. Our products are in freezer aisles across France, Australia, Canada and several other major markets, and we’ve now entered the food service sector in Ireland and the UK.
We’re a proud member of the B Corp community, so we’re committed to our “People, Planet, Profit” promise by delivering delicious, frozen plant-based food designed for busy lives. With the full acquisition by McCain Foods in April 2024, we’re now accelerating our growth and scale globally. While we continue to operate independently, we benefit from the support of one of the world’s largest food brands. Nice!
The Strong Roots Gang includes 60 people from 11 nationalities across three locations (Dublin HQ, London, New York), with over half of our team identifying as female, including at both management and senior leadership levels. We’re committed to diversity in all forms (visible and invisible) and are an equal opportunities employer. Let us know how we can support your application and employment experience. And that B Corp status we mentioned? It’s a testament to how we care for our people and always work to help you thrive and feel like you belong here.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
In this Dublin-based role (with occasional international travel), you’ll report directly to the Senior Product Development Manager and support the Product Development team by:
Supporting the end-to-end delivery of NPD projects across multiple categories and international markets.
Assisting in concept development, benchtop product prototype work and kitchen sample preparation.
Supporting the execution of product briefs, development trials and factory sample reviews.

Maintaining accurate project documentation, specifications and development records.
Building strong working relationships with manufacturing partners, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Ensuring all products meet required quality, technical and regulatory standards across relevant markets.
Managing total business product samples end-to-end, including organisation, tracking, shipping and coordination across internal teams and external partners.
HOW WILL YOU STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD?
It’s a very big crowd, but you shine brighter than the rest because you have:
2–4 years’ experience in product development, food innovation or FMCG environments.
A degree (or equivalent qualification) in Food Science, Food Innovation, Culinary Arts or a similarly relevant discipline.
A strong interest in food, innovation and emerging consumer trends.
Hands-on experience with benchtop product development, kitchen trials or food preparation.

We get it: you’ve been working hard to make yourself a valuable asset, so we’re ready to treat you as such. You’ll receive a competitive salary package (which includes both annual and long-term incentive plans), but you’ll also enjoy a range of benefits that includes matched pension contribution, €1,000 Wellness Wonga, €1,000 contribution to private health insurance, 12 weeks full maternity pay, 2 weeks paid paternity leave, matched charity donations, 23 days annual leave, and more (“Like what?”, you ask?
