AAK USA has an exciting career opportunity for a Production Planner (Supply Chain Specialist) in the Supply Chain Organization, working out of the Richmond, CA site. This role is responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining production and logistics plans that support safe, timely, and accurate fulfillment of customer demand, serving as a key operational link between Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, and Customer Service.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate production planning and scheduling activities to support customer demand, operational priorities, and site performance goals
- - Develop and maintain short-term and mid-term production plans based on customer orders, inventory availability, production capacity, and operational constraints
- - Work cross-functionally with Operations, Logistics, Warehouse, Quality, Customer Service, and Supply Chain teams to support effective order fulfillment and production execution
- - Prepare and communicate daily and future planning priorities, including production needs, shipment readiness, transfer requirements, and schedule changes
- - Support new product introductions, process changes, continuous improvement initiatives, and cross-functional projects
- - Respond to order changes and inquiries from internal teams
- - Develop and improve standard work, planning tools, reports, and process documentation
- - Maintain accurate planning information in company systems, reports, schedules, and communication tools
Requirements:
- BA/BS degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field (can be waived with equivalent business experience)
- - Experience in a production, inventory, forecasting, or demand planning environment
- - Basic understanding of supply chain processes and the impact of inventory
- - Ability to study, interpret, and develop a thorough understanding of problems and opportunities
- - Strong verbal and written communication skills
- - Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications, especially Excel
- - Demonstrated analytical and technical skills, comfortable using ERP, inventory management, and forecasting systems
