Customer Innovation Food Science Intern: Differentiated Services — Summer 2027
Location: Bridgewater, New Jersey (on site). Pay range: $22–$26 USD/hour.
Join Ingredion’s Customer Innovation team for a summer 2027 internship supporting the Differentiated Services program and its US/Canada customers. The program translates customer ideas into market-ready food products through predictive formulation, consumer liking, and technical expertise. Using Ingredion’s Idea Labs, you will scale lab concepts in the food pilot plant and create prototypes.
Responsibilities include managing project timelines; analyzing results and scientific literature; collaborating with Customer Innovation, Differentiated Services, and internal subject-matter experts to address formulation challenges; developing solutions; presenting prototypes and project updates; and preparing technical reports. The role may include research and analytical testing.
Candidates should be enrolled in a bachelor’s program in Food Science, Food Engineering, or a related field, with at least two years of coursework completed. Ability to work 40 hours per week during the summer and unrestricted US work authorization is required; the employer does not intend to sponsor visas or provide OPT/CPT for this position.
