Your Focus
As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, controlling, and optimizing industrial processes, especially in manufacturing environments. You play a key role in scaling up laboratory processes to full-scale manufacturing and continuously improving plant operations. This position will be based in Karawang.
How You Will Contribute
- Design and implement chemical processes for new and existing products. Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and material/energy balances.
- Monitor plant performance and identify opportunities to improve yield, reduce waste, and enhance energy efficiency. Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure all processes comply with environmental, health, and safety (EH&S) regulations. Conduct hazard and operability studies (HAZOP) and risk assessments.
- Support the scale-up of processes from pilot to full-scale production. Participate in commissioning and start-up of new equipment or process lines.
- Analyze process data to monitor trends, detect anomalies, and support decision-making. Prepare technical reports and documentation.
- Work closely with R&D, operations, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure seamless process integration and continuous improvement.
- Specify and evaluate process equipment such as reactors, heat exchangers, pumps, and distillation columns. Ensure proper maintenance and upgrades.
What You Will Need To Be Successful
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineer or any related field
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in chemical manufacturing plant operation
- Proficiency in English communication skills. Fluency in secondary local language will be advantageous.
- Good organization skills
- Excellent communication, and negotiations skills.
- Knowledge in SAP, Microsoft office
- Experience in 6S, Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement
