The Category Support Specialist should provide transactional support to the category teams.
-Analyse contract information (due date, remaining qty, payment terms) and share it with category stakeholders to support decisions making.
-Participate in strategic category meetings, supporting the category with relevant inputs to build/refresh material strategies within the category. Develop expertise on the portfolio to provide support to the category team in terms of market intelligence: seeking info within the current partners and gathering info from external resources (price indexes, terms, supply and demand status, trends…)
-Ensure all the processes within its scope follow up company SOPs and best practices, so that they’re compliant. Support process standardization (RFx, etc), KPIs follow up, report and other ad hoc category-specific activities.
-Analyse supplier performance and provide inputs to the category in relation to this topic, including new suppliers' identification for the category.
-Support supplier onboarding process through the IT systems stablished by the company.
-Ensure price lists are updated.
-Establish relationships with stakeholders and frequent requestors.
