Lead the team of Raw materials buy des that own and effectively manage an assigned portfolio following sourcing strategy and using established sourcing methodology and tools.
- Leads evaluation and selection of suppliers within local raw materials portfolio, understand the business needs in terms of quality, service, specs and aims to cost efficiency on the assigned portfolio for sites in scope.
- Resolve and document issues with suppliers regarding delivery, quality, supply and price problems and issues with blocked invoice for payment.
- Ensure all the transactions within your scope follow up company’s SOPs and best practices, so that they’re compliant according to internal audits and policies.
- Work in multidisciplinary teams to attend business, quality, logistics and operation’s needs.
- Understand and execute raw materials strategies within different categories.
- Manages savings projects and develop supplier alternatives for the local portfolio.
- Uses Auction Tools, RFIs, RFQs, RFPs and/or sealed bids. Negotiates prices following the market trends and business strategies and identifies opportunities in cost optimization driving continuous improvement.
- Calculates and reports accomplishments in all appropriate systems.
Required:
- Graduates with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Procurement of Chemical Raw Materials.
- 2 years’ experience in leadership
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification would be a plus.
