Job Description
At Day 8, we are working on feeding humanity by unlocking the world’s most abundant protein. We upcycle discarded agricultural biomass into sustainable, high-quality Rubisco protein.
We are looking for a lab assistant to join our R&D team and take part in transitioning our innovative leaf-based protein from development to industrial scale-up.
Responsibilities:
- ● Execute the R&D lab schedule and experiments to improve protein quality and stability
- ● Conduct functional tests to evaluate the protein’s performance in various food applications
- ● Participate in pilot scale-up and commercial production
- ● Write documentation
- Qualifications & Requirements:
- ● B.Sc in Food Science, Biotechnology, or a related field
- ● Ability to thrive in a small, dynamic team with a creative and flexible mindset
- ● Availability to travel in Israel
- ● Willingness to work hands-on in the lab
- ● Fluent in English (written and spoken)
