Amai Proteins is the tasty Designer Protein company. Amai (means ‘sweet’ in Japanese) Pro-Protein platform combines: (a) Agile-Integrative Computational Protein Design (AI-CPD) to design proteins that are fit to the mass food market as to stability, taste, and other attributes; (b) precision fermentation production in an array of host organisms and (c) food technology to assess the Designer Proteins and integrate them to consumer-packaged goods.
The food technology team incorporates Amai’s protein into all types of food and beverages while cooperating with companies all over the world. Sensory evaluation and out of the box solutions to new challenges of the fast-moving F&B market. Interdisciplinary work with other departments in house to establish the next generation of sweetening solutions. Creating a better and new understanding of sweetening models with breakthrough technologies.
Job Description
Testing and implementing Amai ingredients in a variety of food and beverage applications
Preparing samples for sensory panel (coding, serving)
Managing samples, shelf-life studies
Inventory management and ordering raw materials, equipment (internally and externally).
Data management: in-house data management and external data mining.
Participating in team meetings
Preforming basic statistical calculations on results
Food technologist Requirements:
B.A., B.Sc. in food science (Isn’t relevant for Nutritionist and Dietitians )
Experience in food/ beverages/ food ingredients product development – an advantage
Good technical abilities.
Lab scale development work, upscale experience – advantage.
Well-articulated in Hebrew and English, other languages – advantage.
Computer – Office applications use, statistical software - advantage.
