We’re seeking two passionate and driven Food Scientists (mid to senior level) to join our R&D team in Fullerton, CA. You'll play a critical role in new product development, quality management, and innovation — especially in the plant-based and fresh ready meal categories.
Hiring Range: Senior Food Scientist: $90,000 – $100,000
Food Scientist: $80,000 – $90,000
Key Responsibilities:
Lead or support new product development from concept to commercialization.
Stay on top of market trends and competitive products to fuel innovative ideas.
Conduct scale-up testing, product launches, and cross-functional collaboration.
Manage or support co-packer relationships, ingredient sourcing, and packaging application.
Improve product quality, consistency, and cost-efficiency.
Utilize food science expertise to troubleshoot product issues and optimize processes.
Maintain and apply QMS systems for assigned products.
Regularly report project status using tools like MS Project.
Qualifications:
Senior Food Scientist:
B.S degree in food science/food technology or similar is required.
Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience in a food manufacturing company. Plant based food and sauce industrial experience preferred.
Knowledge and experience working with vendors for new ingredient/alternate supplier sourcing.
Experience in food product development and commercialization, with experience in processing and process flow design.
Food packaging application experience a plus.
Proficiency in MS Office and strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience with NPD process a plus.
Self-directed with the ability to work independently as well as with cross-functional groups.
Food Scientist:

*These are fully on-site positions located in Fullerton, California. Candidates must be able to commute to the location on a regular basis. There is no remote or hybrid work possibility. Relocation assistance may be available for highly qualified candidates.
