Where You’ll Make a Difference
Develop and own the global packaging category strategy aligned to operational, business and sustainability goals. This role will be responsible of the day-to-day activities in the Americas, while providing guidance to EMEA and Great Asia.
Drive year‑over‑year value creation including cost savings, cost avoidance, cash improvements and value engineering.
Lead global and regional sourcing waves, tenders and negotiation processes.
Optimize specifications, support standardization and enhance demand management with R&D, Operations and Quality.
Build and manage a strategic global supplier portfolio, including dual‑sourcing and regionalization strategies.
Lead global supplier relationship management, including performance reviews and innovation roadmaps.
Assess and mitigate supply, geopolitical, regulatory and ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) risks.
Advance packaging sustainability initiatives such as recyclability, material reduction and circularity.
Ensure compliance with packaging regulations (e.g., extended producer responsibility, plastics taxes, labeling and food‑contact standards).
What Makes You the Right Fit
8–12+ years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, with strong exposure to packaging categories (paper & board, plastics, flexible packaging, glass, metal, labels, pallets).
Proven ability to manage global or regional categories within a matrix organization.
Strong track record in complex negotiations, supplier management and cost optimization.
Experience partnering with cross‑functional global stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
Advanced negotiation and influencing skills.
Solid understanding of packaging materials, manufacturing processes and key cost drivers.
Highly effective communication and stakeholder‑management skills in multicultural environments.
How Would You Stand Out?
Master’s degree or professional procurement certification (CIPS, CPSM or equivalent).
Experience driving sustainability initiatives related to packaging.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑regional collaboration and harmonization.
