Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Director of Business Development to shape and drive growth strategy. Develop new partnerships, manage key client relationships, and bring Pow.bio’s technology to market, working with cross-functional teams to align opportunities with company objectives.
Key Responsibilities
• Own sales targets.
• Lead negotiations, close deals, and finalize agreements with customers and partners.
• Build and maintain a customer pipeline by identifying strategic partnerships; track progress and forecasts in CRM.
• Develop relationships with existing clients and stakeholders, supporting satisfaction and retention.
• Research business opportunities, target markets, industry trends, and competitors.
• Collaborate with the Head of Commercial and technical, sales, marketing, and executive teams on business development strategy and customer solutions.
• Represent the company at events and deliver presentations and proposals.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or a related field; Master’s or Ph.D. is a plus.
• Master’s degree in business.
• 8+ years of biotechnology business development experience and 5+ years of scientific/technology work in biotechnology.
• Demonstrated success identifying, negotiating, and closing high-level business deals.
• Experience in biochemicals/nutraceuticals, SaaS, manufacturing process solutions, or newly launched B2B products is a plus.
• Strong strategic relationship, communication, negotiation, presentation, analytical, and CRM skills; biotechnology, biomanufacturing, or synthetic biology network.
• Willingness to travel as needed and support senior executives.
Work arrangement: Remote, full-time. Legal authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is unavailable.
Compensation: $160,000–$200,000 base, with eligibility for a $30,000 performance-based target bonus.
