The Opportunity: Jr. Scientist - Cell Line and Media Development
In this role, you will perform hands-on research in cell line and media development, execute experiments, analyze scientific data, and support our scale-up and cost reduction efforts.
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for performing research at the field of cell line and media development, in collaboration with others. Demonstrate technical proficiency in cell culture, biochemical and cellular assays involving various detection methods.
2. Perform routine and complex tasks with diligent attention to details and high level of accuracy.
3. Execute media development to facilitate the production process, including routine preparation of cell culture media, component stock solutions and reagent formulations.
4. Write protocols, summarize results, and analyze scientific papers, working on several projects simultaneously.
5. Plan, execute, document, and analyze experiments.
6. Perform research to support media cost reduction and secure supply.
Requirements:
1. Vast experience with mammalian cell culture; Experience with stem cells - an advantage.
2. A broad understanding of cellular biology.
3. Applicants must have MSc. in biology, biotechnology, or a related field.
4. At least 2 years of experience at a biotech company.
5. Skilled in analytical techniques (flow cytometry, RT-qPCR) - an advantage.
6. Ability to read and understand relevant scientific literature.
7. English writing and reading - high level.
8. Team player.
