Technical Solutions Support plays a key role in supporting the Technical Solutions Team and ensuring customer satisfaction. Technical Solutions Support is responsible for various tasks in a food-grade research lab and kitchen space and as a member of the applications team, they strive to provide innovative technical solutions for internal and external customers.
Pay Rate/Range: $51,432 - $64,290

Key Responsibilities
- Accomplish all soy, gluten, sieve, and FOSS analysis for the PURIS Grains team to ensure the quality of whole peas coming into the facility.
- Package all samples to be sent out of Minneapolis HQ. This may include ingredient SKUs as well as final application demonstrations for customers.
- Produce and package samples for trade shows. These products may include novel, innovative ingredients and must meet industry standards for palatability and trends.
- Conduct final application experimentation of soybean products in the lab such as tofu and natto. Record data obtained from texture analysis and colorimetry to better serve current and prospective customers all over the world
- Assist in the exploration of PURIS Proteins products. Conduct experiments across a variety of applications including, but not limited to beverage, baking, snacks, confection, alternative dairy, alternative meat, lifestyle nutrition.
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment to ensure food safety and compliance with industry standards. Sanitize and calibrate lab equipment, including pH meters, viscometers, and scales. Adhere to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and food safety regulations
- Monitor and restock lab supplies, including food ingredients, reagents, and testing materials. Maintain proper storage conditions for perishable ingredients and ensure expiration dates are tracked. Assist with ordering lab materials and liaising with vendors to ensure continuous supply. Conduct periodic inventory audits and document material usage for cost tracking.
- Record and maintain accurate lab data, including test results, calibration logs, and experiment notes. Assist in compiling reports for the quality assurance (QA) department and regulatory audits. Ensure compliance with food safety documentation, including Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science (preferred), Chemistry, Biology, or related field.
- 2 years of industry experience in product development with relevant experience in non-dairy or aseptic beverages, highly desirable.
- Knowledge of regulatory, organic, non-GMO and kosher requirements.
- Computer proficiency in Windows based programs including MS Word, Outlook and MS Excel.
- Master’s degree in Food Science (preferred), Chemistry, Biology, or related field.
- Some manufacturing Experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Genesis Nutritional programs a plus.
