The Role
As Senior Procurement Manager, you will navigate the complex world of global commodity markets to fuel our rapid scale-up, leading and scaling your portfolio from deep-dive market analysis to high-stakes negotiations, ensuring production remains resilient, sustainable, and cost-effective. You will report directly to our Head of Procurement, working in a fast-paced, high-performance environment where your strategic decisions directly impact our bottom line and our mission to decouple chocolate from deforestation.
Responsibilities
Lead and elevate an assigned portfolio, constantly scouting for alternative suppliers on current product optimizations and future innovations.
Drive strategic market analysis (specifically fats & oils, sunflower, and grains) to stay ahead of global trends and volatility.
Drive strategic decision-making in sourcing and investments, balancing risk with the opportunity to scale efficiently.
Partner closely with Supply Chain, R&D, and Quality Management to ensure our ingredients meet the highest standards of performance and sustainability.
Identify risks and opportunities by providing early warnings and trend forecasts; act as a key sparring partner for the Head of Procurement to continuously optimize our global sourcing strategy.
Requirements
Senior procurement professional with a strong, proven track record in strategic purchasing; deep knowledge of commodity markets (grains, fats & oils) or a proven ability to master complex, volatile markets.
Strong commercial background with a talent for turning complex market data into clear, visible formats that guide strategic decisions.
Understanding of how global markets work, from physical supply chains to the dynamics of raw material fluctuations.
Proactive doer who takes full ownership of results; creative problem solver who finds solutions to sourcing bottlenecks and supply chain challenges.
Master negotiator with proven ability to lead tough, face-to-face discussions with international stakeholders and top-tier suppliers; full professional fluency in English.
