Responsibilities: 1. Manage and mentor a group of scientists to foster a culture of innovation, teamwork, performance, and trust. 2. Independently design, implement and take innovative approaches to conduct critical experiments that results in achieving project goals. 3. Utilize literature information as well as technical experience to troubleshoot assays to generate reliable and reproducible data in a timely manner to accomplish assignments. 4. Accurately document, critically analyze/interpret data and communicate and share information/knowledge/results clearly and effectively. 5. Write scientific reports, protocols and operating procedures. 6. Establish, characterize, and maintain cell banks which will serve as sources for production. 7. Implementation and maintaining GMP and GDP standards to align with regulatory requirements in relation to master and working cell banks. 8. Perform media development to facilitate the production process. 9. Perform research to support media cost reduction and secure supply. 10. Leading the technical discussions with potential manufacturers (recombinant proteins, basal medium, others). 11. Support RA in regulatory submission and cell bank documentation. 12. Responsible for laboratory management, according to applicable regulations 13. Responsible for routine training for new employees and hands - on techniques.
Requirements: 1. Ph.D. in biology, biochemistry, or a related field. 2. At least 5 years of experience working in the biotech industry.3. At least 3 years of experience in managing a team of scientists. 4. Extensive experience in cell culture (embryonic stem cells – an advantage). 5. Experience in cell banks preparation and validation.6. Experience in media development. 7. Proficient in Hebrew and English.
