The Opportunity : Commercial Lead (B2B Sales)
We are seeking an experienced commercial lead, B2B Sales to disrupt the novel functional ingredient industry. Partnering our CEO, you will own and build TurtleTree's U.S. go-to-market for LF+ within the B2B supplement, nutraceutical, and CPG channel, with a mandate to establish TurtleTree as the category leader in lactoferrin. You will represent TurtleTree to develop and partner high growth DTC brands in building the next generation of health and nutritional products in the US. This role will be suited for someone who has experience selling novel functional ingredients for the VMS ( Vitamins, Minerals and Supplements ) and functional CPG sector. It will offer the individual an opportunity to shape a new functional ingredient category, not just a pipeline.

What the role will focus on
Own the U.S. B2B revenue plan for LF+ in the health, supplement, nutraceutical and functional CPG channel from account strategy and pipeline to forecasting and close.
Design and execute the commercial strategy to position TurtleTree/LF+ as the category leader in recombinant lactoferrin
Build and manage strategic accounts with high-growth independent and DTC CPG/supplement brands from first conversation through to closing.
Partner with brand and product teams as a technical-commercial resource to co-develop and launch lactoferrin-based formulations, supporting product innovation from concept to shelf.
Cultivate and manage relationships with key opinion leaders, clinical researchers, and academic partners to strengthen the scientific and consumer-education narrative behind LF+, particularly in women's health.
Track the competitive landscape (including other recombinant and animal-derived lactoferrin suppliers) and translate market and pricing intelligence into positioning, packaging, and commercial terms.
Partner our internal team on R&D, regulatory/quality, marketing, and manufacturing operations to keep customer commitments and internal capacity in sync.
Own financial forecasting, report pipeline, wins, and market feedback to executive leadership.
Represent TurtleTree at industry trade shows, conferences, and scientific forums to build the company's presence and pipeline in the space.
What we are looking for
8+ years of B2B sales or commercial leadership experience selling dietary supplement, nutraceutical, or functional food/beverage ingredients to CPG, supplement, or pharma/OTC brands.
A track record of building strategic accounts with high growth independent CPG and supplement companies, from prospecting through contract and renewal.
Experience in precision fermentation, biotech, or novel bioactive ingredients and familiar with bringing a novel ingredient to commercial launch
Demonstrated success developing and launching new products in partnership with the brand and R&D team.
Strong market research, competitive analysis, and financial forecasting skills; comfort with owning the sales financial forecasting and targets.
A resourceful, adaptable, technically fluent sales leader who can flex between strategic and hands-on account work, comfortable being an early, category-building independent contributor hire.
Bachelor's degree in a life science, food science, nutrition, or related technical field; advanced degree a plus.
Willingness to travel regularly for customer meetings, industry events, and TurtleTree's U.S. offices.
Experience successfully launching a new ingredient to market for widespread adoption, a challenge that spans consumer education, claims substantiation, and selling the concept to brands will be a plus
Existing relationships with KOLs, scientific advisors, or brands in the women’s health, gut health, or immune health nutraceutical space will be a plus.
