ABOUT THE ROLE
Minor Figures is seeking a Key Account Manager to oversee and drive growth with key accounts across the US. This fully remote role reports directly to the Senior Director Of Sales and is integral in helping us expand our reach and deliver our sustainable, plant-based products to more consumers across the country.
WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
In this role, you will lead the development and execution of sales strategies for key accounts that increase revenue for MF, collaborating closely with the grocery/retail sales team to achieve annual sales volume, trade spend, and ROI targets. You are responsible for increasing the revenue at existing key accounts, and developing revenue streams in new accounts. You will be responsible for monitoring account performance, managing ordering cadence, and overseeing customer forecasting to ensure alignment with our business goals. Building and maintaining strong relationships with Buyers and Brokers will be key, ensuring effective communication and partnership. You will leverage shopper and syndicated data to create impactful sales presentations and drive key initiatives. Additionally, you will prepare for category reviews by gathering and analyzing data, creating presentations, and conducting SKU rationalization and shelf placement analysis. Establishing promotional calendars for your accounts, you will work closely with the internal teams on trade marketing to implement revenue-driving programs.
Here's how you'll likely go about that:
Lead the development and execution of sales strategies for key accounts that increase revenue for MF.
Collaborate with your Sales Manager to achieve annual sales volume, trade spend, and ROI targets with Independent Retail Partners.
Monitor account performance, manage ordering cadence, and oversee customer forecasting to ensure alignment with business goals.
Build and maintain strong relationships with Buyers, ensuring effective communication and partnership.
Work closely with the grocery sales team to coordinate demand plans, distribution, and execution with national distributors.
Utilize your knowledge of geography, relationships with key contacts, and business insight tools to gain access to potential new customers, present, and earn new business.
Ensure the development of the business aligns with targeted sales and profitability metrics, utilizing internal tools and communication platforms.
Design, pitch, implement, and monitor all discount/promotion programs within your assigned territory.
Utilize the internal system, Modus, for item-level forecasting.
Track budgets allocated for activation by account, ensuring maximum visibility and effectiveness.
Track results and consumption data, regularly reviewing with the channel director.
Pursue new business opportunities and work to increase volume and ranking with existing accounts.
Attend trade shows, distributor events, and sales meetings to represent and promote Minor Figures.
Collaborate with marketing teams, operations teams, and the café sales team to ensure cohesive brand representation and growth in the market.
Prepare for category reviews by gathering and analyzing data, creating persuasive presentations, and conducting SKU rationalization and shelf placement analysis.
Establish promotional calendars for your accounts and work closely with the Trade Marketing Team to implement revenue-driving programs.

YOUR COMMITMENT
We are a remote team so you will work from home, with regular travel. We’re flexible on location within the US, but we ask that you’re able to travel and carry out the requirements of the role as needed. Proximity to a major airport is preferred.
A work schedule of Monday-Friday between 8:00am- 5:00pm with flexibility for trade shows and other work related travel that may occur on weekends. Also, as part of a global organization, on occasion you may be asked to join calls outside of regular hours.
