The Financial Analyst at PURIS is responsible for driving the weekly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, performing variance analysis against budget and forecast, and maintaining the company’s rolling financial forecast. This role partners closely with the CFO and cross-functional leaders across sales, operations, and commodity management to translate operational data into actionable financial insights. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, PE-backed environment and brings both analytical rigor and a bias toward action.
Pay Rate/Range: $68,000 - $85,000 Annual
Pay Frequency: Biweekly

Travel: Minimal (<10%)
The compensation for this role will be based on qualifications, experience, market data, and internal equity. Actual pay may vary due to factors such as location, skills, education, and performance. Pay is determined transparently, using market benchmarks and ensuring internal equity.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
Own and facilitate the weekly S&OP process across Proteins and Grains business units
Prepare weekly S&OP materials including demand/supply balance, capacity utilization, and financial impact summaries for CEO and leadership review
Partner with sales, customer service, and commodity teams to reconcile volume, pricing, and timing assumptions
Maintain and improve S&OP dashboards and reporting cadence
Variance Analysis
Perform monthly budget-vs-actual and forecast-vs-actual variance analysis across revenue, COGS, and EBITDA
Identify and communicate key drivers of variance including volume, price/mix, commodity cost, and plant efficiency
Prepare variance commentary and bridge charts for PE sponsor and board reporting
Forecasting & Financial Modeling
Maintain and update the company’s rolling financial forecast in coordination with business unit leads
Support the annual budgeting process with bottoms-up build of revenue, cost, and margin assumptions
Model scenario analyses for pricing, capacity, and commodity cost changes
Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as directed by the CFO
Specific Measures of Success
S&OP materials delivered on time and at quality for weekly leadership review
Monthly variance analysis completed within 5 business days of close with clear, actionable commentary
Forecast accuracy within defined tolerance bands for revenue and EBITDA
Proactive identification of risks and opportunities reflected in updated forecasts
Positive feedback from cross-functional partners on collaboration and responsiveness

Requirements
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required
1–3 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or related role required
Experience in manufacturing, food/agriculture, or PE-backed environments preferred
Exposure to S&OP or demand planning processes preferred
Skills And Capabilities
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables, complex formulas)
Experience with ERP systems (Dynamics GP/Business Central preferred)
Strong working knowledge of financial statements and GAAP fundamentals
Knowledge or experience with Power BI preferred; familiarity with other visualization tools (Tableau) a plus
Effective written and verbal communication skills
