Location: Banbury, London, Cardiff, or Belfast – you will be contractually based in the office nearest to you with hybrid working.
Hybrid working: You will be able to work from home and come into the office to collaborate with your team(s) when required. We have flexible core hours, and we don’t believe in a culture of presenteeism. We will discuss what is important to you during the recruitment process.
Salary & Benefits: £30,000 + 10% pension, 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, 35 hour working week, up to 13 flexi-days, private medical insurance, life assurance, and much more!

The role
As our Commercial officer, you will help to drive the development of commercial capability across WRAP. You will advise and shape decisions internally on how we oversee, select, define, deliver, and receive commitments to and from our funders, clients, partners, suppliers and beneficiaries to deliver impact.
There will be a requirement to flex between the commercial, procurement and Financial Mechanisms activity, based on demand.
Key responsibilities include:
Commercial & Procurement Delivery: Lead and support procurement, tendering and commercial approvals in line with organisational policies, ethical standards and best practice, working closely with technical and finance teams to manage risk and ensure value for money
Grants & Funding Management: Support the delivery of grant schemes, including documentation, claims, reporting and audit compliance, while tracking milestones, risks and performance.
Strategic Support & Capability Building: Contribute to business development and opportunity assessment, support negotiations with partners and funders, ensure IR35 compliance, and build commercial capability across the organisation through training, guidance and continuous improvement.
Team Responsibilities: Undertake shared team responsibilities including input into the shared Monthly Commercial Dashboard. Monitor and allocate work from the shared inbox, updating pipelines and workload tools and delivering Commercial and Grants Team Induction Training
What are we looking for?
Good commercial acumen and experience of procurement and/or grants management and/or commercial terms and management
Demonstrable experience in stakeholder management with the ability to operate and influence internally and externally, proven customer service orientation and collaborative approach
Ability to prioritise workload which may include conflicting time demands
Proven ability to operate with exemplary levels of confidentiality and integrity
High computer literacy, including MS Office suite of applications, SharePoint, Excel, etc.
