Position Objective:
Healthcare is one of the most promising avenues for plant-based nudges, with the potential to impact millions of meals; transforming patient, staff & visitor health, institutional procurement, and societal norms. As a Healthcare Manager, you will implement Greener by Default’s healthcare program by working directly with healthcare organizations, directing pilots, networking, presenting, collecting data, and building and maintaining relationships.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
Execute program strategy: Implement GBD’s healthcare program, ensuring key activities are completed to achieve established objectives and key results in alignment with organizational values and strategic plans. This includes overseeing client menu projects and adapting strategies based on insights from implementation.
Develop and oversee relationships with healthcare organizations and partners: Build a network of contacts, secure partnerships, actively establish and maintain positive ongoing relationships with key stakeholders and institutional partners. Identify and pursue opportunities to promote Greener by Default's programs and services to potential partners. This may include university and corporate partners in your region, in addition to healthcare organizations.
Manage pilot projects: Work with institutional partners to ensure the successful implementation of plant-based default pilots from start to finish, including obtaining stakeholder buy-in, supporting the culinary team, gathering data, publicizing the findings, and securing permanent implementation.
Stay in the loop: In collaboration with the research department, keep abreast of the latest scientific research and developments within the landscape of plant-forward healthcare and lifestyle medicine in order to ensure that our materials remain current and our strategies are maximally effective and relevant.
Build contacts: Represent the organization at networking events and conferences to expand GBD’s visibility and build relationships.
Improve the program: Utilize insights from your experience to continuously strengthen our healthcare program.

Position Requirements:
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Commitment to the organization's mission, vision, and strategic plan
Thorough knowledge of plant-based food and nutrition
Strong people skills
Self-motivated, able to work independently and take initiative
Ability to work collaboratively with a team
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
At least two years of relevant outreach or project management experience preferred
Institutional foodservice experience preferred
Registered Dietitian highly preferred

Compensation:
This is a full-time, remote salaried employee position paying $75,000 - $81,000 per year, depending on experience and credentials.
