About the role
Lead a cross-functional team of Soil Scientists and Software Engineers to develop and implement SOC models as the foundation of Klim's platform. Own and drive the product roadmap for carbon, biodiversity, and broader soil science and agronomic models, expanding Klim's modelling capabilities beyond carbon into crop and agronomic insights, and over time into economic models such as farm-level P&L.
Responsibilities
Translate scientific models into clear product requirements and features; align modelling work with product and company goals; drive execution from concept to production.
Improve accuracy and scalability of carbon models as the core system; expand models to include agronomic metrics, new practices, and new geographies.
Ensure alignment with key standards such as VERRA VM0042, GHG Protocol, SustainCERT, SAI RTF and ISOMETRIC.
Lead and prioritise the work of a cross-functional team of scientists and engineers.
Partner with MRV to ensure models meet regulatory requirements and collaborate with Farmer Sales to ensure consistency with field data.
Incorporate client and market insights into product decisions to maximise commercial impact.
Qualifications and skills
3 to 6 years of product management experience, ideally in data or scientific-heavy technical products.
Proven track record of shipping products end to end; experience running development cycles and sprints.
Strong prioritization and problem solving; ability to operate effectively in a fast-changing environment.
Ability to shape short to long term product strategy and translate complex technical topics for non-technical audiences.
Strong ability to understand complex models at a high level; degree in a quantitative or analytical field is a strong plus.
English required; German is a plus but not a requirement.
