Since 2020, Klim has supported 3,500 farmers managing more than 900,000 hectares.
Note: This role requires fluency in German, given close collaboration with German-speaking farms and stakeholders. Fixed-term contract from 09/01/2026 through 03/31/2027, based in Berlin with remote work possible within Germany.
The Role
As part of the MRV (Monitoring, Reporting and Verification) team, you will help ensure the quality and transparency of Klim's results in close collaboration with partner farms.
Responsibilities
Work as a verifier within Klim's internal verification process, reviewing farm data on implemented regenerative measures and various CO2 accounting calculations.
Carefully review farm documents (agricultural applications, field records, fertilization needs assessments, seed receipts, service invoices, inventory lists) to confirm platform data matches documentation.
Apply agricultural science expertise to assess the plausibility of regenerative practices used, such as crop rotation, fertilizer use, and tillage.
Maintain close contact with partner farms to clarify open questions.
Support the team in further developing and improving the verification process for new products.
Help ensure that CO2 sequestration and savings calculated by Klim's model have actually been achieved.
Requirements
Academic background in agricultural science, environmental science, or a related field, or practical farming experience from a personal or professional background; knowledge of dairy or livestock farming is a plus.
Strong interest in regenerative agriculture and sustainable solutions.
Open, communicative approach; comfortable engaging directly with farms by phone and email.
Independent, structured, and responsible work style; comfortable with digital tools.
Fluent German (written and spoken); English is a plus.
