- At Klim, we work with farmers and food companies to make regenerative agriculture scalable and financially rewarding for farmers. Through our platform, we help farmers restore soil health, increase biodiversity and capture carbon while creating new, reliable income streams. We're a Berlin-based AgriTech startup backed by $22M in Series A funding, partnering with global food leaders such as Nestle and Kaufland to reduce emissions across their supply chains and build long-term resilience. Since 2020, we've supported 3,500 farmers managing over 900,000 hectares.
The Role
You own the day-to-day agronomic knowledge needs across Klim's teams and farmer-facing work, translating agronomic knowledge, farmer feedback, and research on regenerative arable farming in temperate climates into practical solutions for internal teams and farmers.
Responsibilities
Internal agronomic support & content quality: provide practical agronomic expertise to Product, Farmer Success, Sales, Data, Remote Sensing, and Marketing teams; advise on customer- and farmer-specific agronomic questions and use cases; review and maintain farmer-facing content, recommendations, guidance, and claims for agronomic accuracy and clarity; translate agronomic concepts into clear, actionable communication for non-agronomists.
Research, knowledge management & data: conduct research, literature reviews, knowledge management, and maintenance of agronomic datasets; analyze and contextualize farmer feedback to inform product development and agronomic priorities; evaluate agronomic data sources, including remote-sensing outputs, from a practical farming perspective.
Product validation & expansion: validate digital agronomy features through farmer feedback, test cases, and quality checks; collect and maintain agronomic data used in digital products; review English and German agronomic copy and translations; contribute to expansion into new markets by researching farming systems, practices, and conditions across geographies and climate zones.
Requirements
Strong academic foundation in agricultural sciences, agronomy, regenerative agriculture, farm management, or a related field.
Good understanding of arable farming systems in temperate climates and a strong interest in regenerative agriculture.
Practical farming exposure through internships, fieldwork, advisory roles, farm work, or a farming background; intermediate understanding of regenerative agriculture, with motivation to deepen expertise.
Curious, eager to learn, and comfortable working across disciplines outside your core expertise; able to explain agronomic concepts clearly to non-agronomists.
Strong interest in digital agriculture and the intersection of agronomy, data, and technology; comfortable with research, documentation, testing, cross-functional collaboration, and using AI tools to increase efficiency.
Fluent in English; German is a strong advantage.
