Role Description
The Operations Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operational and financial performance of the business. This position combines financial analysis, supply chain reporting, inventory oversight, and operational support to ensure accurate reporting, efficient processes, and informed decision-making across the organization.
The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across finance, operations, customer service, and third-party logistics partners. This individual thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about using data to drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Financial & Accounting Support
Prepare recurring operational and financial reports for leadership.
Perform monthly account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
Process invoices, credit memos, and related documentation accurately and timely.
Review, investigate, and resolve customer deductions, invoice discrepancies, and chargebacks.
Assist with month-end close activities and provide supporting documentation as needed.
Operations & Supply Chain Analysis
Track, analyze, and report key business and operational performance indicators (KPIs).
Monitor warehouse performance, including inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, service levels, storage costs, and other key logistics metrics.
Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Support inventory management and reporting initiatives.
Collaborate with third-party logistics providers and internal teams to ensure operational excellence.
Business Planning & Process Improvement
Support operational planning, forecasting, budgeting, and vendor performance reviews.
Develop reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights for management.
Identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions that increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve accuracy.
Assist with special projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in operations, finance, accounting, or supply chain analysis.
Proficiency with Sage and/or QuickBooks is required.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred
Experience in the consumer packaged goods (CPG), food & beverage, or manufacturing industry.
Experience working with ERP systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory management software.
Experience working with third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
