The function
For our office in Breda, EG is looking for a Corporate Counsel for BeLux with 3 to 7 years of experience. You are a generalist and accustomed to working within the retail sector. Your focus is on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various commercial contracts (such as non-disclosure agreements, dealer contracts, merchandising and procurement agreements, supply contracts, distribution agreements, and letters of intent).
You are the direct point of contact for your business colleagues, advise them, report on new legislation and legal developments, and liaise with external legal advisors yourself.
As an In-house Counsel, you are part of the Legal Team Benelux and report to the Country Manager Benelux.
Profile
We are seeking an In-house Counsel with a pragmatic and solution-oriented approach. You need to be assertive and capable of resolving various legal issues without losing sight of practical realities. Additionally, you are proactive, decisive, result-oriented, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
Completed university degree in law
Minimum of 3 to 7 years of work experience as a lawyer or in-house counsel (preferably in retail).
Knowledge of Belgian and Luxembourg legislation.
Excellent oral and written skills in Dutch, French, and English. This is a strict requirement for this position.
You are proactive, independent, and enterprising.
