Again is advancing a new industrial era with AI-powered biocatalysts, turning waste gases into valuable products without oil or sugar. Backed by investors including Google Ventures and HV Capital, Again is pioneering gas fermentation to build clean, resilient industrial supply chains.
The Role: The R&D Intern/Thesis Student will operate and advance Again's pioreactor-based cultivation platform, supporting gas-fermentation and strain-development work spanning adaptive laboratory evolution (ALE), strain characterization, and media optimization.
Responsibilities:
- Operate, maintain, and expand the pioreactor platform for ALE, strain screening, and gas-fermentation experiments
- - Run and optimize gas-fermentation processes at lab scale, including media optimization
- - Perform screening, characterization, and validation of engineered and evolved strains
- - Support experiment design using statistical/DOE-based approaches
- - Collect and communicate experimental data through reports and lab notebooks
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a university degree program or recently graduated, available full-time for at least six months, based in Copenhagen
- - Undergraduate degree in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemical Engineering, Biology, or related field
- - Hands-on experience with microbial cultivation and/or fermentation
- - Practical experience operating small-scale bioreactors
