事業概要
Oishii Farm is an agricultural Deep Tech startup headquartered in New Jersey. Pioneering the future of vertical farming, Oishii is the innovative company behind the world’s largest indoor vertical strawberry farm.
On a mission to transform the agriculture industry through the power of smart farming, Oishii harmoniously marries nature with state-of-the-art technology to create the ideal elements—rain, air, heat, light, nourishment and natural bee pollination—for growing in-season produce all year round. Oishii’s beloved Omakase, Koyo and Nikko Berries are grown in pesticide-free vertical farms in the U.S.
Traditional agriculture accounts for 20% of global greenhouse gas emissions and 70% of the world’s freshwater consumption, while chemical runoff degrades delicate marine ecosystems and climate change threatens crop stability worldwide. Founded in 2017 to solve these critical challenges, Oishii began its journey with strawberries—a crop known for its high profitability, strong brand appeal, and high technological barrier to entry. By fully controlling the growing environment, Oishii has achieved what was once thought impossible in controlled-environment agriculture: optimizing natural bee pollination indoors, engineering AI-driven growing “recipes,” deploying robotics for automated harvesting, and leveraging accelerated plant breeding unique to indoor farming.
Milestones & Future Outlook
⭐️ 2018: Generated significant buzz, drawing overwhelming demand from Michelin-starred restaurants in New York and celebrities passionate about environmental technology.
🌳 2022: Expanded into 100 Whole Foods Market stores across the U.S., achieving brand recognition among 1 in 10 Americans.
🍓 2024: Established a mega-farm facility in the United States.
🔬 2026: Established an R&D Center in Tokyo, Japan (spanning 15,000 m² with a planned investment of ¥10 billion).
With the global strawberry market alone valued at ¥5 trillion, Oishii is building a scalable, globally deployable Vertical Farming Turnkey Solution. Vertical farming is recognized as one of the key strategic technology fields by the Japanese government, and Oishii is on a mission to spark a true paradigm shift—building a 21st-century future where Oishii becomes synonymous with agriculture itself.

業務内容
We are seeking a Senior Director FP&A to lead financial planning, strategic business finance, and decision support across a rapidly scaling Series C company.
This is a highly visible, finance leadership role responsible for building and leading the FP&A function while serving as a strategic partner to the executive team and functional leaders. The business operates across physical sites which include operations, engineering, R&D, commercial and general business functions, creating a uniquely complex financial environment that requires both strategic thinking and strong operational understanding.
The ideal candidate is a strategic driver and decisive business partner who acts as a proactive capital driver – rather than a conservative gatekeeper – to accelerate Oishii’s technology breakthroughs at maximum speed. You will connect financial performance to company strategy, challenge assumptions, and co-create agile financial paths ('how') with engineering and operational leaders to maintain development velocity while scaling the business.
The role will oversee financial planning and forecasting across U.S. and Japan entities, while partnering closely with Accounting to maintain strong financial controls, reporting discipline, and scalable processes as the company continues to grow.
**What you’ll be responsible for:
・Own the company’s global FP&A function, including annual planning, budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and financial modeling, translating company strategy into actionable financial plans and agile capital allocation that accelerates Oishii’s technology breakthroughs.
・Drive financial and operational performance through department-level budgeting, KPI development, forecasting, and variance analysis, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability, and capital allocation while actively supporting business and technical velocity.
・Serve as a strategic finance partner to Operations, Engineering, R&D, Commercial, and Corporate functions, acting as an unbiased, central navigator to constructively resolve natural frictions and competing priorities across our end-to-end internal value chain.
・Partner closely with Accounting to ensure strong financial controls, reporting, close processes, and financial governance across U.S. and global entities.
・Lead financial planning and performance management across multiple entities and geographies, building scalable processes that support continued growth.
・Provide executive leadership and the Board with forward-looking financial analysis, business insights, risks, opportunities, and recommendations.
・Bring a strong, independent point of view to strategic decisions, challenge assumptions, and help leadership co-create creative financial pathways (finding the 'how' rather than giving a flat 'no') to navigate complex trade-offs.
・Build the financial discipline, visibility, and infrastructure needed to support a rapidly scaling Series C company with complex physical operations, engineering, R&D, and commercial functions.
応募資格(必須)
MUST
・Fluent in both Japanese and English, including the ability to speak, read, and write effectively in both languages
・Able to relocate to the US and Travel at least 25% of the time internationally to Japan
・10+ years of progressive finance experience, with significant depth in FP&A department management, strategic business finance, and capital allocation in complex environments.
・Operated hands-on at finance leadership level, preferably during rapid scale-up phases.
・Proven track record of managing and resolving financial frictions across an end-to-end value chain, demonstrating the ability to balance competing priorities across teams.
・A "how-to-enable" strategic partnering mindset, with a demonstrated ability to constructively challenge executive assumptions and co-create agile financial pathways to accelerate business and technical velocity.
・Demonstrated experience partnering closely with executive leadership (CEO, CFO) and the Board of Directors to guide major strategic and investment decisions.
応募資格(歓迎)
WANT (NOT A MUST)
・Owned and managed financial planning across U.S. and global entities (experience bridging U.S. and Japan operations is a strong plus).
・CPA strongly preferred, particularly for candidates with meaningful accounting, controls, and financial governance experience.

We also welcome candidates from SaaS or other sectors who demonstrate the ability to quickly understand complex physical supply chains and Capex-heavy business models.
